HAUL WITH BYTE LANE

We build carrier relationships. Not just loads.

Byte Lane maintains a limited, intentional carrier network. We work with carriers who run professionally, carry current compliance, and operate with consistency. We are not looking for volume — we are looking for the right partners.

OUR STANDARD

A carrier base built on foundational standards.

Carrier compliance and safety performance are foundational qualifications at Byte Lane. Every carrier in our network is held to these standards at onboarding and maintained consistently — because the integrity of every move reflects the standard Byte Lane holds itself to.

Every carrier goes through a consistent onboarding process before their first load. We verify operating authority, insurance, and safety standing. We evaluate how you communicate and how you operate. This is not a formality. It is the foundation of what makes Byte Lane worth working with for shippers — and what makes working with Byte Lane worthwhile for carriers who take the freight relationship seriously.

WHAT WE VERIFY AT ONBOARDING

Active operating authority — MC, DOT, CVOR, or NSC as applicable to your operations
Current cargo and liability insurance on file
Clean and verifiable safety record
Equipment available across North American lanes
Professional communication and dispatch responsiveness
Compliance with applicable Canadian and United States transportation regulations

WORKING WITH US

What a Byte Lane carrier relationship looks like.

Shippers Who Are Ready to Move

Byte Lane works with small and mid-sized businesses who move freight consistently. When we call you with a load, the shipper is prepared and the details are confirmed. You are not managing an unprepared shipper or chasing incomplete information.

Straight Communication

Load details are clear before dispatch. Byte Lane uses live tracking on every shipment — you will not receive follow-up calls asking where the load is unless something requires coordination. If something changes on either side, we communicate directly and promptly.

A Relationship Built to Last

Carriers who operate professionally, maintain their compliance standing, and communicate with consistency are the ones we continue to build with. Consistent lane opportunities, professional shipper relationships, and a logistics partner who treats your operation with the seriousness it deserves.

FAQ

Carrier questions we hear often.

Active operating authority applicable to your operations — MC and DOT numbers for United States operations, CVOR for Ontario carriers, NSC for other Canadian provinces, and applicable cross-border authority for Canada to United States lanes. Current cargo and liability insurance is required.

Yes. Byte Lane works with owner-operators who carry current authority and insurance and meet our onboarding standards. The same criteria apply regardless of fleet size. If you operate professionally and run the lanes we need, we want to hear from you.

Canadian domestic lanes, United States domestic lanes, cross-border Canada to United States lanes, and drayage at major ports and rail terminals on both sides of the border. Specific needs vary based on current shipper demand. Include your primary operating regions in your application.

Timeline depends on the completeness of your application and alignment with our current lane needs. Submitting complete information — operating authority number, equipment types, and primary lanes — helps us review faster.

Loads are matched through data informed sourcing based on lane, equipment type, and real time availability. Carriers who operate consistently, maintain their compliance standing, and communicate professionally are the ones Byte Lane continues to build with. Volume is not the metric — reliability is.

We review every submission. If your credentials and lanes align with our current needs, a Byte Lane team member will reach out to discuss next steps. If there is no current lane match, we keep your application on file.
